It is with both sadness and joy that we announce the passing of Eli Gabriel Chaco, who left this world peacefully on November 29, 2024, at the tender age of 10. Born on January 26, 2014, in Austell, Georgia, Eli was a shining light in the lives of all who knew him. He resided in Hiram, Georgia, where his warmth and love touched the hearts of many. Eli was a fifth grader at Victory Christian Academy, where his bright spirit shined through in everything he did. He had a profound love for his church and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and he exemplified a selfless heart, always thinking of others before himself. Eli’s passion for helping others was palpable; he earnestly wished for everyone to experience the joy and hope he found in his faith. His infectious enthusiasm for sharing the message of Christ endeared him to countless friends and family members, even when he felt burdened by the desire for others to see what he saw. A talented and spirited athlete, Eli had a great love for baseball. He played second base and outfield, embracing the camaraderie and joy of the game with a smile that could light up the field. He cherished moments spent playing ball and brought a unique joy to the sport that will be remembered by his teammates. Eli loved his siblings, with whom he shared countless adventures alongside his treasured dog, Duke. His selflessness, kindness, and love for life will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
Eli is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lynda Chaco and his maternal grandfather, Clyde Freeman.
Eli is survived by his parents, Mike and Mary Chaco; his siblings: Dallas Chaco, Jade Freeman, Daisy Chaco and Sarah Diehl; his paternal grandfather, John (Catherine) Chaco; maternal grandmother, Jean Pitts; his aunts and uncles: “Great” uncle, Jim Kekacs, Lisa (Wesley) Honea aka “Aunt BB”, Patsy (Santos) Roque, Gretchen Robinson, and Ben (Tara) Chaco; Eli’s “Fake” Pawpaw and his “Fake” Meme, Jamie and Patti Dickerson; several cousins and friends.
