Elma Howell

Elma Dora Howell, age 94, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013. She was born March 5, 1919, in Ball Ground, GA, and was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Clifford Duckett & Emily Jane Duckett, and husband, Harold Jake Howell. Mrs. Howell was a U. S. Postal Service clerk for 25 years. She was a member of Conns Creek Baptist Church in Ballground, GA.
Survivors include her sons & daughters-in-law, Roger & Carolyn Howell of Cave Springs, GA, Hulan Howell of Marietta, GA, Gerald & Betty Howell of Dallas, GA, and Larry Howell of Dallas, GA; daughters & sons-in-law, Ema Jean McDowell of Douglasville, GA, Jacquelyn & Jack Norton of Douglasville, GA, and Judy & Donnie Medlock of Rockmart, GA; sister, Lorraine Fitts of Jasper, GA; sixteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren: nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at 1:00 PM, from Conns Creek Baptist Church in Ball Ground, GA, with Reverend Steve Chadwick and Reverend Kenny Sutton officiating. (The body will lie-in-state at the church from 12:00 PM until the service time.) Interment will be in the Conns Creek Baptist Church Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, December 27, 2013, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
