Emily Evans Cook, age 82, of Marietta, GA, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2009. She was born August 7, 1927 in California, PA, and was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur & Harriet Mae Evans; husband of 61 years, Henry Cook, Jr.; and son-in-law, Donald J. Sullivan. Mrs. Cook was retired from the banking industry, where she had worked as a department manager.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Cook Sullivan of Acworth, GA; sons & daughters-in-law, Jack & Cindy Cook of Troy, MO and Tom & Suzy Cook of Robert, LA; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 7, 2009, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Tom Davis officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 PM, in Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, December 6, 2009, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
