Eric Everett McGee

Eric Everett McGee, 48, of Douglasville, GA., passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. Eric was born on November 18, 1974, a son of Salice McGee Russom and John Clinton McGee.

Eric enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, Nascar and cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs and Florida State. Making food on his "Beloved Smoker" was a highlight for him. Family and friends were his heart. A carpenter by trade, Eric was also skilled in home repair and remodeling.

Eric is preceded in death by his father, John C. McGee; grandparents, Lula and Mack Blalock; Stan and Virginia Johns; and a nephew, Gage McGee. He is survived by his mother, Salice Russom; stepfather, Benny Russom; two brothers, Chad E. McGee (Lauren) and John Anthony "Tony" McGee (Mandy); six nieces, Kaitlyn, Brittany, Amber, Brooke, Lily and Lula; and two nephews, John and Will.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm. Memorial Services for Eric will be held at Clark Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 beginning at 6:00pm with Rev. Thomas Blagg officiating.
