Estie Leona Davis passed away on October 8, 2024. She was born on September 5, 1937 and grew up in Powder Springs, Georgia. Leona was a proud military wife and proud to have raised her three sons, all very close in age, while moving across the country. She was a gifted seamstress and made delicious little pies and cakes. She also enjoyed collecting Tupper Ware. Leona spent the last 20 years in her cabin in the Suches Mountains that her husband built for her with his own hands. She loved spending time at the Black Mountain Trout Pond where she sold her pies and cakes. She passed away at her beloved cabin, Leona, may you rest in peace up high on that mountain.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Jackson Croker and Ennis Jones Croker; her loving husband, Louis Felton Davis; their son, James Bruce Davis; grandson, Jimmy Davis; and sister, Mary Strickland.
Leona is survived by her sons, Louis Donald (Izzie) Davis and John Robert (Elaine) Davis; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; niece, Debbie (Mike) Henson; and thoughtful neighbors, Dale and Reanita.
The family will receive friends and loved ones at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Leona will begin at 1:00 PM at Sam Clark Chapel with Pastor Dave Warriner officiating.
Interment will follow at Croker-Elliot Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.
