Evelyn (Mobbs) Shellhorse

Evelyn Shellhorse, age 83, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at her home. She was born on February 28, 1937 to her late parents; Alfred and Ruth Mobbs. Mrs. Shellhorse was a member of Draketown Baptist Church and a home maker. Her greatest joy was being a caregiver to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend that was loved by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son; David Barton Shellhorse.

She is survived by her loving husband, David Shellhorse, daughters; Debbie Langley, Phyliss Kendall, son; Greg Hagerty, sisters; Agnes Tenney, Sissy (Calvin) Smith, Betty (Crandall) Green, Dean Loveless, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchilren.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Shellhorse will be Monday, February 1, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Draketown Baptist Church in Temple, GA. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, February 1, 2021 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM.

If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn, and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mrs. Shellhorse safe.  The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who may be unable to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions (no more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time).
