Frances Gamel

Frances Lee Gamel, age 79, of Mableton, GA, passed away Monday, July 11, 2011. The daughter of the late, William Leonard Smith & the late, Irene Nancy Wood Smith, she was born January 27, 1932 in Dallas, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Conis S. Gamel and her sisters, Louise Nelson and Helen Newman. Mrs. Gamel was a member of Lost Mountain Church of God. She loved God and her church more than anything, and she read the Bible through 130 times.
Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Brenda & Daniel Odum of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Kim & Jeff Merritt and Shane Odum; great-granddaughter, Kristen Merritt; niece, Charlotte Nelson; and nephew, Coleman Newman.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 14, 2011, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Kenneth McDaniel and Pastor Keith Bates officiating. Interment will follow in Gann Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home, Wednesday, July 13, 2011, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
