Frances Lucille Lindsey passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. She was born on Saturday, March 14, 1942 to the late Reno and Sarah Cochran in Marietta, Georgia.
Frances was well known for her patience and zest for life especially on game day when her Georgia Bulldogs or Atlanta Braves were playing. Frances was a Christian woman, and truly loved the Lord. She loved watching the games with friends and family all while sporting her favorite color, red. In her spare time, Frances enjoyed reading, watching movies, coloring, and above all, being with those who she loved most. She also loved her fur "babies", Frances was a true animal lover.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 40 plus years, Noel Eugene Lindsey, and her siblings, Frank Cochran, Avis Mitchell, and Betty Freeman.
Family was of upmost importance in her life and those left to cherish her memory are her four children, Aleda (Joel Chastain) Holley, Kevin (Vivica) Lindsey, Kenneth (Angela) Lindsey, and Stephen (Stacy) Lindsey; her grandchildren, Danny (Juli) Hardy, Jacob Casey Lindsey, Casey (Samantha) Lindsey, Taylor Lindsey, Dakota Lindsey, Christopher Hardy, Angela (Alan) Makarewicz, Jonathan Hardy; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her sister, Inez (Thomas) Landers; brother-in-law, David Freeman; and Amanda Hardy.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 7, 2024, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Clark Funeral Home and Chapel. A service to celebrate Frances will be Monday, January 8, 2024, at 12:00pm at Clark Funeral Home and Chapel.
