Frances Cash Vernon, age, 94 of Smyrna, GA, formerly of Gainesville, GA, passed away on Saturday, December 01, 2018. She was born on August 24, 1924 in Braselton, GA. to the late Rufus Spencer and Lou Ella Deaton Cash.
Preceded in death by her husband, James Ivan Vernon; brothers, Frank Cash, Carl Cash and Aaron Cash; sisters, Irma Cash, Grace Cash, Lillian Cantrell and Mary Louise Cash. Mrs. Vernon’s main focus was her family and her church. She was a long time Sunday School teacher, scout leader for cub scouts and brownies, involved in the PTA and loved redoing antique furniture. She was great cook and a very proud graduate of Perry Business school.
Survivors include her son, Philip (Deborah) Vernon; daughter, Nancy Vernon; sister, Ruth C. Brownlow; grandchildren, Shelby (Jason) Arnold, Philip C. (Leighann) Vernon, Lori (Jeremy) Chumley, J. Clint (Stacey) Stockton, Stephanie Stockton (Steven) Goodlow and J. Luke Stockton; nineteen great-grandchildren and
twenty nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 04, 2018 at 1 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA. 30504. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home Monday, December 03, 2018 from 5 PM until 8 PM.
