Frank “Buddy” E. Smith, SR., age 86, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015. He was born on June 17, 1928, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Eddie & Effie Smith, and was preceded in death by his brother, George W. Smith.
He was a member of Iron Workers Union Local 387 and a member of Mt. Olivet Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Smith loved the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Margaret L. Smith of Dallas, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Frank Edward & Angela Smith, JR, of Dallas, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Maggie & Ronald Malcolm of Dallas, GA, and Judy A. & Frank Petty of Golden Valley, AZ; grandchildren, Thomas & Tracy Malcolm, Steven Smith, Shelli & Chad Reiling, and Keith & Christy Clark; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at 11 AM, at Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Derrick Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, from 4 PM until 8 PM.
