Franklin Dennis Scarlet Bernard passed away on January 21, 2022. He was born on May 5, 1935, in St. Catherine, Jamaica. Son of the late Icilda and Daniel Scarlet Bernard. He was the 7th child of 17 children for his father (we can come to agree there was no electronics, tvs, or social media during this time). He grew up with his brothers and sisters in a happy home, now known as the St. Bernardine House located in Spanish Town, Jamaica. Franklin was a momma's boy, and he was loved by many relatives and friends, described by many as a very peaceful, loving, caring, and outgoing person. Anyone who knew him knows that he enjoyed spending time with his family and would never hold back on giving out SIX LOVE to anyone who sat at the Domino table, one of his favorite past-times. Just know if you were the opposition, you are leaving with a LOVE. He attended St. Jago High School where he developed a passion for building, which led him to start his career as a Building Engineer with Lloyd C Hall & Co. While growing in his career, Franklin met and married Marjorie Shaw. They migrated to the United States together where he lived out the rest of his life. Franklin loved his siblings, childrn, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is survived by 6 sisters, 2 brothers, 8 children, 33 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 11:00am until 2:00pm. Funeral services for Mr. Franklin will immediately follow at 2:00pm with Bishop Primes Mcgirt and Pastor Jimmie Lowman officiating. Interment will be at Peaceful Meadows.
