Fred C. Platt, age 71, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015. He was born on December 15, 1943, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Fred Clarence & Sybil Platt, and was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Anderson. Mr. Platt was United States Army Veteran, a graduate of North Georgia College with a degree in Business Administration, and a life member of the 11th Calvary United States Army.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Cherry Platt of Dallas, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Linda & Phil Gable of Fayetteville, GA; uncle, Tommy & Pat Platt of Tate, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at 11 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Mike Gable officiating. David Moore, Ray Graham, Larry Mullinax, Gary Kitchens, Frank Montalbano, and Kyle Bagby will serve as honorary pallbearers. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at 1:30 PM, from Georgia National Cemetery, with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
