Freddy Gene Collins, age 81, of Dallas, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2012. He was born in McCaysville, GA, June 3, 1931, to the late Luther & Ellen Mae Collins. Mr. Collins served in the U. S. Army.
Survivors include his children, Bruce & Kimberly Collins of Dallas, GA, Judy & Randy Brown of Dallas, GA, Randy & Sharon Collins of Dunwoody, GA, April & Chuck Collum of Powder Springs, GA and John & Chandi Collins of Powder Springs, GA; brothers & sister-in-law, Claude & Betty Collins of Bluff Mountain, GA and Charles Collins of Riverdale, GA; sisters, Margie Lampe of Tiger, GA, Lula Collins of Clayton, GA and Lavada Alexander of Smyrna, GA; grandchildren, Keith Collins (Amber), SGT. Robert Collins (Brittany), Hayley Foreman, Zachary Foreman, Justin Brown (Victoria), Emily Brown (Brian Laughlin), Erin Collins, Brayden Collins, April M. Collum, Lisa S. Sponsel, Karen L. Long (Travis), Erica M. Collum, Amanda B. Newman (Johnathan), Bradly T. Vincent and Emily M. Vincent; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Brown, Cynthia Collins, Hayden Collins, Kevin Collins, Calli P. Sponsel, Trinity J. Sponsel, Julia C. Lyons, Bryson A. Long and Bayleigh A. Long; numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Friday, September 7, 2012, at 9:30 AM, from the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA, with Deacon Steve Bek officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Clark Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
