G. Osborne

G. W. Osborne, age 86, of Dallas, GA, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010. A native of Paulding County, he was born in Dallas, GA, March 5, 1924, and was preceded in death by his father & mother, Rich & Rhoda Osborne. Mr. Osborne retired from the Marietta Housing Authority after 36 years. He was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church and Dallas Masonic Lodge #182.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Imogene Davis Osborne; son & daughter-in-law, Sammy & Donna Osborne of Hiram, GA; daughter, Susan Vanek of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Scott Vanek & wife, Cindy, Jamie Alsobrook and Bailey Osborne; great-grandchildren, Sarah Jane Vanek, Liza Kate Vanek and Polly Alsobrook; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 3, 2011, at 2:00 PM, from New Canaan Baptist Church, with Reverend Jason Loudermilk officiating. Interment will follow in Dallas Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 2, 2011, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and Monday, January 3, 2011, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
