Gail Thomason Cole, 72, of Cartersville passed away on April 15, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 6, 1949 in Dallas to her late parents, Daniel Lafayette Thomason and Helen (Ray) Thomason. Before retirement, she spent over 20 years enjoying a successful career in the medical equipment industry as a Sales Coordinator. She loved to read, travel, and cook. Her joy and happiness was watching her kids and grandkids grow. Above all, she loved her family and devoted husband of 53 years. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her brother and sister in law, Wayne and Glenda Thomason; brother and sister in law, Jerry and Anne Thomason; and sister, Linda Hammond.
Gail is survived by her loving husband, Douglas A. Cole of Cartersville; her two children, Jennifer Cole Elliott and her husband Rick Elliott of Cartersville, Matthew D. Cole and his wife Sheree Cole of Hiram; brothers, Ronnie Thomason and wife Darlene Thomason of Cartersville, David Thomason, Kenny Thomason of Dallas; her four grandchildren Haley, Trenton, and Ty Cole of Hiram, and Grace Adams of Cartersville; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Mrs. Cole will be held at Paulding Memorial Gardens at 3566 Jimmy Lee Smith Pkwy, Hiram, GA 30141 on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Don Rackley officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at Clark Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Mike Chamblee, Danny Chamblee, Brad Thomason, Stephen Hammond, Trenton Cole, and Ty Cole.
The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who may be unable to attend the service in person due to Covid-19 concerns. If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that face masks be worn and that social distancing be practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mrs. Cole safe.
