Gary Nicholson

Gary “Paw” Nicholson, age 77, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. He was born on October 28, 1937, in Piedmont, AL, to the late James and Alice Nicholson, and was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine McCormick, brother, Charles Davis, son-in-law, Wendell F. Atcheson, Jr., aunt, Josephine Davis, and uncle C.T. Davis. He retired from Sherwin-Williams as a truck driver and was a charter member and deacon of East Hiram Baptist Church.

Survivors include wife of 59 years, Nellie Nicholson of Hiram, GA; children, Randy H. & Wanda Nicholson of Hiram, GA, Dennis & Priscilla Nicholson of Hiram, GA, Edward L. & Debbie T. Nicholson of Fayetteville, GA, and Jackie Atcheson of Hiram, GA; brother, James Tony Davis of Douglasville; fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015, at 3 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Rickey Bice and Reverend Darrell Hunter officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. Matthew Nicholson, Joe Nicholson, Luke Nicholson, Taylor Nicholson, Trevor Nicholson and Robbie Whitlow will serve as pallbearers. Steven Jacobs will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 5, 2015, from 4 PM until 8 PM.
