Gene Tant

Gene Tant, age 70, of Jackson, GA, (formerly of Hiram, GA), passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012. He was born in Dallas, GA, October 3, 1941, to the late, Ezekiel John Tant and the late, Vennie Louise Holden Tant. He served in the U. S. Army and currently worked for Boaty’s Produce in Jackson, as a safety manager. Mr. Tant was a member of Springdale Baptist Church in Rockmart.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Ann Sanders Tant; sons & daughter-in-law, Dennis Tant of Newnan, GA, and Billy & Amanda Tant of Palmetto, GA; step-son, Ken Moore of Fayetteville, GA; brothers & sisters-in-law, Johnny & Bonnie Tant of Rockmart, GA and Wendell & Loretta Tant of Camden, TN; sisters & brothers-in-law, Mary & Donald Davison of Carrollton, GA, Sue & Bob McLeroy of Kennesaw, GA, and Debra & Keith Hales of Dallas, GA; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Brother Bobby McDowell officiating. Interment will follow in Springdale Baptist Church Cemetery in Rockmart. Dennis Tant, Billy Tant, Ken Moore, Johnny Tant, Donald Davison and Jeff Davison will serve as pallbearers, with Joel Davison serving as an honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
