Geneva Scoggins, age 96, of Dallas, GA. passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Tanner Hospital in Carrollton, GA. Mrs. Scoggins was born on March 12, 1924 to her late parents; Barney and Effie Parson. Geneva was an involved member of Gateway Church. In her free time, she enjoyed quilting and cooking. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph W. Scoggins, daughter; Janice Harris, son in-law; Tommy Harris, sisters; Grace Shirley, Pauline Pressley, Opal Osborne, and Ruth Davis.
Mrs. Scoggins is survived by her grandchild; Lynn (Nick) Nichelson, great-grandchild; Ashley (Kyle) Brock, and great great-grandchild; Easton Brock. Both Geneva and Joe were the pillars of their family, church, and community. Geneva would tell everyone she met about Jesus and she shined His Light everywhere she went. She loved everyone with a heart of gold and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. It is certain that when her spirit left her earthly body, she heard The Master say: Well done, good and faithful servant.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Scoggins will be on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn, and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mrs. Scoggins safe. The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who may be unable to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions (no more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time).
