George Folds, Jr

George Burris Folds, Jr., age 82, of Dallas, GA (formerly of Acworth, GA), passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011. He was born October 5, 1928, in Godfrey, GA, to the late, George Burris Folds, Sr. & the late, Carrie Cleo Hutchens Folds. Mr. Folds was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Thomason Folds and son, Michael B. Folds. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Folds was a truck driver for 35 years for Motor Convoy, which later became Allied Services. He was a member of Pumpkinvine Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, George Larry Folds & wife, Pilar of Dallas, GA; brothers & sister-in-law, James Folds of Social Circle, GA, Clyde & Leila Folds of Social Circle, GA, and John Hughlon Folds of Topeka, KS; sisters & brothers-in-law, Ann & Gary Duncan of Jersey, GA, and Betty & Jimmy Reeves of Easley, SC; grandchildren, Joshua Folds, Catherine Walker, Alexis Folds, Griffin Folds and Gracie Folds; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 26, 2011, at 3:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Brad Benson officiating. Interment will follow in Dallas Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 25, 2011, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
