George (Junior) Law Atcheson

George Law (Junior) Atcheson, Jr., 86, of Dallas, GA passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Wellstar Paulding Hospital.  He was born on October 25, 1934, in Dallas, GA.

He is survived by his children Barry (Sandra) Atcheson of Dallas, Sheila (Leonard) Chambers of Dallas, and Lori (Bruce) Blan; one brother, Jim Atcheson; and one sister, Becky Smith of Dallas and one sister-in-law, Jane Atcheson; 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mytis Elberta Tibbitts  Atcheson; his parents George Atcheson, Sr. and Vera Mae Rose Atcheson; and one brother, Wayne Atcheson.

Mr. Atcheson served as a deacon at Northside Baptist Church. He retired as a chief engineer at Flowers Baking Company after more than 33 years, and he was the owner of AAA Machine Company for 34 years.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church in Dallas with Bro. Shad Smith officiating.  Interment will follow in Dallas City Cemetery in Dallas.  The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 12:30 until 2:00.

The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who may be unable to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions. If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing be practiced to help prevent the spread of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mr. Atcheson safe.

Flowers are accepted but those who wish, may make a contribution to Northside Baptist Church instead.
