Geta Canon

Geta B. Canon, age 87, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013. She was born January 14, 1926, in Brunson, SC, and was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Albert Owens, mother, Maggie Bell Owens and a daughter, Polly Scoggins. She retired from Colonial Bakery Company as a packer.
Survivors include her sons & daughters-in-law, Anthony Canon & wife, Diane of Hiram, GA, and Johnny Little & wife, Janice of Woodstock, GA; daughters & son-in-law, Jane Moore of Dallas, GA, Gayle Dowdy & husband, Gary of Powder Springs, GA and Kay Gibson of Cincinnati, OH; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013, at 1:30 PM, from Sharpsburg Baptist Church Cemetery in Sharpsburg, GA, with Mr. Gary Dowdy and Reverend Johnny Little officiating. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, September 13, 2013, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
