Glenda Sue Morris Tidwell passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023. She was born on March 30, 1944, in Douglasville, GA, to the late Alton and Stella (Rainey) Morris. She Retired from Malbon, Inc. of Hiram, GA, where she was a seamstress for over 20 years. Sue loved spending time with her family, a clean house, cooking, and watching her favorite baseball team, the Atlanta Braves especially when they won. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, Nana, and Grannynana to her children, and to the lights of her life, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her loving husband of over 60 years, Herman Lee Tidwell; two brothers, Wilson Morris, and Winfred Morris. She is survived by her daughters, Gwen (Eric) Morris, Penny (Randy) Brown; a brother, Billy (Carolyn) Morris; a sister, Ann (Charles) Broom; five grandchildren, Amber (Josh) Whisner, Emily (Anthony) West, Shane Brown, Bryanna Lawhorn, Taylor Brown; six great-grandchildren, Blair Whisner, Anna Whisner, Aubrey Brown, Lainey Whisner, Stella West, Brantley Whisner; a special neighbor, Ann Hooper; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Service for Sue will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Wayne Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery with Josh Whisner, Anthony West, Shane Brown, Taylor Brown, Blair Whisner, and David Morris serving as pallbearers.
