Grady Abernathy

Grady Abernathy, age 88, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013. He was born, July 4, 1924, in Hiram, GA, and was preceded in death by his parents, John Homer Abernathy & Ovelle Smith Abernathy and his wife, Norma Camp Abernathy. Mr. Abernathy was retired from Mather Brothers Furniture, as a salesman, after 55 years of service. He was a member of the Springville Masonic Lodge #153 in Powder Springs.
Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, Tony & Susan Abernathy of Ellijay, GA; daughters & sons-in-law, Carol & Ralph Clark of Hiram, GA and Connie & Larry Walters of Hiram, GA; brothers & sisters-in-law, Ortel & Imogene Abernathy of Powder Springs, GA and Charles & Linda Abernathy of Powder Springs, GA; sister, Lois Bannister of Carrollton, GA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Powder Springs Memorial Gardens with Masonic honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 25, 2013, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
