Greg Nations, age 62, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016. He was born on December 1, 1953 in Brookhaven, MS. Mr. Nations was a member of Church on the Word. Greg was a singer, songwriter, and musician, writing thousands of songs. He enjoyed restoring old cars, building log cabins and refinishing furniture.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Tonya Maria Nations of Hiram, GA; step daughters, Tara & Rusty Dunn of Hiram, GA, Kellie & Jeff Taylor of Hiram, GA, Lindsey & Barry Carter of Dallas, GA, and Ashley & Chris Tabor of Powder Springs, GA; father, J.T. Nations of Ruth, MS; mother, Beneta Nations of St. Clair, Missouri; brother, Tracy & Vanessa Nations of St. Clair, Missouri; sisters, Phyllis Nations Gordon of Ruth, Mississippi, Debbie & David Langley of St. Clair, Missouri and Cindy Nations of Union, Missouri; step-grandchildren, River, Kaleb, Rusty JR, Bailey, Brooklyn, Sydney and Sophie; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016, at 3 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor John Alexander and Jeff Taylor officiating, and on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at 2 PM, from Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven, MS. Interment will follow on Sunday, May 1, 2016, from Wellman Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto, MS. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, from 5 PM until 8 PM, and at Riverwood Family Funeral Service at 76 Hwy 51 S, Brookhaven, MS 39601, on Saturday, April 30, 2016, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
