Grover Wilson

Grover Wilson, age 73, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2009. A native of Paulding County, he was born May 19, 1935, and was preceded in death by his parents, Wendell & Ozie Wilson, and his wife, Annie Ruth Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a member of Bethany Christian Church and he worked in construction as a painter and carpenter.
Survivors include his daughter & son-in-law, Marsha & Ricky Fortner of Hiram; brothers, Max Wilson of Douglasville, Billy Wilson of New, Jimmy Wilson of Haralson County, James Wilson of Haralson County, and Randy Wilson of Alabama; sisters, Elwanda Walraven of Dallas, Wanita Smith of Dallas, Elaine Abercrombie of Douglasville, Judy Griffin of Dallas, and Edith Ivey of Dallas; granddaughter, Keisha Fortner; numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2009, at 2:00 pm, from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Derrick Waters and Pastor Jewel Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. Keith Short, Shane Compton, Stanley Kitchens, Dwight Waters, Rodney Waters, and Kendal Waters will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
