Harold Benton, age 78, of Buchanan, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2011. He was born on December 15, 1932, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Raymond Tyson and Jewell Benton. Mr. Benton was a United States Army Veteran and retired from Nix Miller Metal Fabrication with over 30 years of service. He was a member of Floyd Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include, son and daughter-in-law, Scott & Randi Benton of Dallas; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie & David Bright of Buchanan; sisters, Louise Davis of Villa Rica, and Virginia Bearden of Palmetto; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011, at 4 p.m., from River View Cemetery, with Pastor Burman Cape, JR, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 22, 2011, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
