Harold Lester Grosch

Harold Lester Grosch, age 76, of Hiram, GA., passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. He was born on February 24, 1942 in Manchester, TN. to the late Howard and Hazel Grosch. He was a Vietnam War veteran and retired from the Marines after 20 years of service. After retiring from the military, Mr. Grosch worked as a Mail Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was member of American Legion Post 294 in Powder Springs, GA. for 33 years. Mr. Grosch was preceded in death by his loving wife, Judy Carol Grosch and his parents.

Survivors include his children: Harold Jr. and Karen Grosch of Peru, Tammy and Herbert Harden of Powder Springs, GA., Thomas Grosch of Maryland, Dennis and Jane Woodall of Kingston, GA., David Woodall of Gadsden, AL., his brothers; James and Geneva Grosch of TN., Dale and Gail Grosch of TN., 12 grandchildren and his 12 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews are also survived by him.

Funeral Services for Mr. Grosch will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 3:00 PM with Mr. John F. Hollner III officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 1:00 PM until the service begins at 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Post 294 Lounge Renovation Fund in memory of Harold Grosch, as he was a proponent of the lounge and spent many hours there in the company of his Legionnaire friends during his 32 years of Legion membership. Donations may be mailed to 3282 Florence Rd, Powder Springs, GA  30127.
