Harold McFarland
March 20, 1935 — April 17, 2016
Harold Kenneth McFarland, age 81 of Dallas, GA passed away on Sunday morning, April 17, 2016 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents Glen and Pauline McFarland and a step-daughter, Gail Simmons. He was a member of the Dallas Masonic Lodge and Bankhead Shrine Club. Harold loved bluegrass, spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and traveling. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Barbara Mullinax McFarland of Dallas, GA; son, Douglas Hoffman of Illinois, and Mark McFarland; stepdaughter and her husband, Jean and Don Hildebrand of Peachtree City, GA; sister, Ethel Little of West Point, Mississippi; grandchildren, Gregory Hildebrand, Natalie Smith, Nicholas Simmons and Joey Hildebrand; ten great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. James Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens in Hiram, GA. Mr. McFarland’s family will receive visitors on Tuesday evening between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.
