Helen Marie Black

Helen Marie Black, a beacon of kindness and warmth, has left us on September 14, 2023, at the age of 77. She was born on July 25, 1946, to her loving parents, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, love, and cherished memories.

Helen was known for her unwavering ability to light up any room with her infectious smile and gentle nature. Her caring and nurturing spirit touched the lives of many and she will be deeply missed by all those fortunate enough to have known her.

After dedicating 30 years of her life to the Atlanta Medical Center, Helen retired and embarked on a new chapter filled with cherished moments and precious time with her loved ones. She treasured the company of family and friends, finding great joy in their presence and the deep connections she formed throughout her life.

Helen had a special bond with her sister, Barbara Britt, who will carry her memories and legacy in her heart. They shared a lifetime of laughter, secrets, and the unbreakable bond that comes with sisterhood. Their relationship was a testament to the power of familial love and support.

Although Helen was known for her petite stature, she possessed a heart of immeasurable strength and boundless love. She had a way of making everyone around her feel valued and loved, leaving an indelible mark on the lives she touched. Her departure from this earthly realm leaves a void in our hearts, but her spirit will forever reside in our fondest memories.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, John and Carrie Black, as well as her brothers, Billy Black, Bobby Black, and Harold Black.

Helen is lovingly survived by her sister, Barbara (James) Britt, her nephew, Carl Britt, her good friend, Patricia Guerreo, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Clark Funeral Home. A service for Helen will be Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 1:00pm in the Clark Funeral Home Chapel. Following the service, Helen will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Helen Marie Black's journey from this world may have come to an end, but her love and memory will live on, forever etched in our hearts. Let us gather together to celebrate the remarkable life of a sweet little old lady who touched the lives of many.

Rest in peace, dear Helen. May your soul find eternal serenity in the embrace of a heavenly abode.
