Henry Lee Nelson

Henry Lee Nelson passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023. He was born on April 25, 1935, a son of the late Nathaniel "Andy" and Ruth Nelson in Canton, Ohio. He was a steel worker, working at Timken Roller Bearing for 33 years. He also worked in the maintenance department for the Paulding County School System. Henry Loved his family, watching westerns, camping and watching NASCAR. Henry loved NASCAR so much he traveled all over to watch live races and would watch every race, qualifying and even re-runs.

In addition to his parents, Henry is preceded in death by his wife of 38 years Elsie Marie Nelson; three sons, Ricky Lee Nelson, Dennis Ray Nelson, Phillip Ray Nelson; three sisters, Kate Nelson Allaback, Elizabeth Nelson, Sandra Kay Nelson Dougherty; a son-in-law, James Williams and his mother-in-law, Norma Wallace McBee. He is survived by three daughters, Sherry Nelson Shaffer (Gene), Joyce Nelson Kirkpatrick (Robert), Cathy Nelson Williams; one brother, Jerry (Eddie May) Nelson; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, March 06, 2023, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Graveside Service for Henry will be held at New Hope Cemetery on Monday, March 6, 2023, following the visitation with Deacon Matt Clotfelter officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery with Bob Kirkpatrick, Gene Shaffer, Chris Shaffer, Joseph Williams, Cash Shaffer and Adam Shaffer serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Rick Nelson, Dennis Nelson, Jason Kirkpatrick and Matt Kirkpatrick.
