Herman Williams, age 84, of Hiram, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2009. The son of the late, John Henry Williams & the late, Evie Lou Harper Williams, he was born in Fulton County, November 26, 1924. Mr. Williams was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.
He worked for Southeastern Industry for 42 years and then worked for the City of Atlanta in the maintenance department for 15 years. Mr. Williams was a member and former pastor of Harper Lake Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Grace Williams; sons & daughters-in-law, Marshall Williams of Hiram, Melvin Williams & Shirley Fields of Dallas, Michael & Beth Williams of Hiram, and Marvin & Teresa Williams of Buchanan; brothers, Roy Williams of Hiram, and Vernon Williams of Forest Park; sister & brother-in-law, Joyce & Larry Hicks of Alabama; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at 11:00 am, from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Ted McClung officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
