Hugh Douglas Wynne, age 70, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 21, 1949 in Atlanta, GA, to his late parents; Robert Wynne Sr. and Wiloise Wynne. Doug worked in sales for Home Depot and had also bravely served in the United States Navy  during the Vietnam War. In his free time, he greatly enjoyed Liverpool Football Club! Mr. Wynne was a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbor who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings; Robert Wynne Jr., William Wynne, and Susan Wynne.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 22 years, Debra Wynne of Powder Springs, GA, son, Robert Wynne and his wife, Lucia of Surprise, AZ, daughters; Angela Wynne and her spouse, Peter Helfrich of Decatur, GA, Lindsey Wynne and her partner, Tom Hunt of St. Paul, MN, grandchildren; Nate Wynne – Helfrich, Cera Wynne, Sadie Wynne, Suzanna Wynne, Morgan Hunt, Daphne Hunt and his best buddy, Mat Andrews.

A Private Graveside Service for Mr. Hugh Douglas Wynne will be held on Monday, June 1, 2020 at The Georgia National Cemetery. The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service in person due to Covid-19 restrictions.
