Ida Mae (Miller) Tibbitts

Ida Mae Tibbitts, age 85, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. She was born on May 1, 1932, in Draketown, GA, to the late Otis William & Laura Bell Miller, and was preceded in death by her husband, Eri Tibbitts; daughter, Janet Laura Watson; son, Robert Mark Tibbitts; daughter-in-law, Sharon Tibbitts; grandchildren, Robert Davis, Heather Tibbitts and Hannah Tibbitts; and granddaughter-in-law, Catherine Jacobs. Mrs. Tibbitts worked at Good Year Tire Company for over 17 years as a splicer, worked for several textile mills over the years including Coats & Clark, and worked for Walmart in Hiram, GA for 10 years. Ida Mae was a member of Narroway Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Gail Davis of Dallas, GA; son, Dennis & Vicki Tibbitts of Dallas, GA; brothers, William Ernest Miller of Dallas, GA, Lewis & Ruth Miller of Dallas, GA, Earl & Charlotte Miller of Dallas, GA, Carlton & Martha Ann Miller of Dallas, GA, R.C.& Etta Miller of Chamblee, GA, and Kenneth & Louanne Miller of Tampa, FL; sisters, Gladys Everidge of Dallas, GA, Myrtle Wigley of Dallas, GA, and Linda & C.L. Collins of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Forrest Davis of Dallas, GA, Joseph Watson of Dallas, GA, Joshua & Jamie Watson of Dallas, GA, Chase Tibbitts of Franklin, GA, Christa Tibbitts of Edgefield, SC, and Jessica & Peter Roeder of South Carolina; great-grandchildren, Henry Watson, Nathan Davis, Nicole Davis, Lucy Watson and Clark Roeder; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at 2 PM, from Narroway Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Tibbitts and Reverend Todd Tibbitts officiating. Interment will follow in Narroway Baptist Church Cemetery. Forrest Davis, Joseph Watson, Joshua Watson, Chase Tibbitts, Nathan Davis and Ethan Fain will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 24, 2017, from 4 PM until  8 PM.
