Irene Gresik

April 9, 1950 — March 25, 2025

Irene Jane Gresik, born on April 9, 1950, in Szczurowa, Poland, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025, at the age of 74. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Irene lived a life of love, devotion, and faith.

Irene immigrated to the United States in search of new opportunities, and she lovingly nurtured her family and home. She was united in marriage to her loving

husband, Casey Gresik, on July 29, 1970, with whom she shared countless joyous moments and cherished memories. A woman of deep faith, Irene was confirmed in her beliefs by Saint John Paul II and remained steadfast in her Catholic faith throughout her life. Her faith was a cornerstone of her character, guiding her in every aspect of her life.

Irene adored her family, especially her grandchildren: Dalton Hollis, Delaney Hollis, Mikalah Eppers, Ava Eppers, Isabella Eppers, and Elaina Eppers. She often found delight in the little moments spent with them and was known for her affectionate nature and open-heartedness. She was a genuine people person, always making connections and spreading warmth to all who crossed her path.

Among her many passions, Irene enjoyed gardening, marveling at the beauty of sunsets, and exploring the world through travel. A highlight of her life was a family trip to the Vatican, which solidified her deep-rooted faith and love for her family.

Irene is survived by her husband of 54 years, Casey Gresik; loving daughters, Agnes Hollis (Jeff) and Eveline Eppers (Richard); her brother, Louis Kurylo (Sophie); her adoring grandchildren; and her sister in law Krystyna Kurylo. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Jozef and Stefania Kurylo, and her brother, Joseph Kurylo.

The family will host visitation at St. Vincent De Paul Roman Catholic Church on April 1, 2025, beginning at 10:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Irene's life at 12:00 pm with Fr, Adrian Pleus officiating. Her earthly journey will conclude with a burial at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest in peace. Serving as pallbearers are Richard Eppers, Jeff Hollis, Dalton Hollis, Adam Kurylo, Mark Jamrozek, and Peter Kurylo.
