J. C. Johnson, Sr

J. C. Johnson, Sr., age 80, of Leesburg, AL (formerly of Mableton, GA), passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012. The son of the late, Cicero Johnson and the late, Laura Odessa Johnson, he was born April 30, 1931, in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Johnson was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was retired as the owner of J. C. Johnson Pool & Plumbing and was a member of the Canaan Fellowship Baptist Church in Mableton.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Durmire Johnson; children, Clint Johnson & wife, Vicki of Lithia Springs, GA, Debora Foster & husband, Gene of Lithia Springs, GA, Duane Johnson of Centre, AL, Derek Johnson & wife, Stephanie of Woodleaf, NC and Doyle Johnson & wife, Angie of Douglasville, GA; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday, March 4, 2012, at 3:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Lee McGarity officiating. Interment will follow in Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 3, 2012, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Sunday, March 4, 2012, from 10:00 AM until the service time.
