Jack William Booker, age 73 of Powder Springs, GA, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2010. The son of the late, R. C. & Emma Booker, he was born December 23, 1936, in Roswell, GA. Mr. Booker served in the Navy Reserves and worked for over 40 years as the Branch Manager of Harcros Chemicals. He was a past Master of the Springville Lodge #153 F&AM in Powder Springs. Mr. Booker was a loving family man and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Betty Long Booker; son & daughter-in-law, Marty & Teresa Booker of Dallas; daughters & sons-in-law, Pamela & Greg Youra of Marietta and Jaci & Keith Hardy of Dallas; brothers & sisters-in-law, Jimmy & Bettye Booker of Roswell and Charles & Elaine Booker of Roswell; sisters & brother-in-law, Betty Ann Stancil of Royston and Sarah Jane Barber & husband, Guinn of Roswell; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 20, 2010, at 2:00 PM, from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with Reverend Lamar Rackley officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, with Mark McCravy, Eric McCravy, Tony Lovelady, Travis Long, Jeff Hughes, Bill Hughes, Steve Hughes and Keith Harris serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, November 19, 2010, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
