Jack Horner passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 3rd at WellStar Paulding Nursing and Rehab. He was born on September 23rd, 1951 in San Bernardino California to the late Homer and Geraldine Horner. He was a carpenter and a contractor for his entire life. He loved Alabama football and the Atlanta Braves. He was a jokester and he was always trying to make everyone laugh. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Although he did not attend church regularly he made it very clear that he was covered from his head to his toes with the love of Jesus.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Harold Horner, his sister, Karen Horner, and the mother of his children, Ann Horner. He is survived by his daughters, Karen Robinson and Carrie Leigh Horner; his grandsons, Blake Garner, Avery Robinson, Asher Robinson; his sister in law Jackie Horner; his step father Bert Amidon; lots of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
He was a good man who will continued to be loved and dearly missed.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. Funeral Services for Mr. Horner will begin at 2:00pm with Pastor Paul Wilder officiating. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens with Paul Ramsey, Will Fortenberry, Blake Garner, Michael Hannah, Robert Payne, Donny Hannah, and Lee Payne serving as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Avery Robinson and Asher Robinson.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Mr. Horner's honor towards Paulding Public Safety Appreciation Inc.
