Jackie Dean Morris, age 73, of Dallas, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013. He was born on August 27, 1939, in Atlanta, GA, to the late J.T. and Mamie Lou Morris. Mr. Morris loved to read and teach the Bible. He was an avid Bible Scholar and taught at the singles department at First Baptist Church in Atlanta. Mr. Morris loved the Braves and Georgia Tech.
Survivors include sister and brother-in-law, Linda & Paul Schuh of Dallas; nieces and nephews, Aaron & Jennifer Black, Todd & Janet Lawrence, Wesley & Jodi Postell, Luke Black, Morgan Lawrence, Bryce Lawrence, Macey Postell, Bailey Postell, and Jay Postell, all of Dallas.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at 3 p.m., from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Jeremy Lundy and Brother Frank Hamby officiating. Interment will follow in Dallas Memory Gardens. Wesley Postell, Bailey Postell, Jay Postell, Todd Lawrence, Bryce Lawrence and Aaron Black will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 8, 2013, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
