James “Edmond” Freeman, age 87, of Dallas, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2013. He was born on April 16, 1926, in Dallas, GA, to the late Luther and Beulah Freeman, and was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Virginia Freeman. Mr. Freeman worked in upholsteries for Simmons Company, was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church, and was a World War II Veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Gail & Wallace Keys, and Elaine & Doug Keys, all of Dallas; grandchildren, Vance Edmond & Diana Keys, Stefanie Venable, and Jessica & Chad Collins; great-grandchildren, Emily Venable, Bailey Venable, Alexandria Keys, Tommi Lynn Keys, Collin Keys, Colt Collins, and Parker Collins; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2013, at 3 p.m., from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Thomas Cole officiating. Interment will follow in New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. Ron Raper, Alan Freeman, Vance Keys, Travis Kirkland, Chad Collins and Carlton Mitchell will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 21, 2013, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
