James Billy "Bill" Israel, age 77, of Acworth (Paulding County), passed away on Friday, April 11, 2008. He was born October 27, 1930, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to the late Karl T. Israel and the late Ada Teal Israel. Mr. Israel served in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from Lockheed-Martin as a supervisor. He was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Israel will be sadly missed by his wife of 54 years, Fay Bartlett Israel of Acworth, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Camillia & Frank Marini of Villa Rica, GA; sisters & brothers-in-law, Betty & Ray Glover of Spartanburg, SC and Lanelle & Mike Goodyear of Palm Coast, FL; special family, Nate & Sue Marini of Marietta, GA, Dr. Beth & Jamie Simpson and daughter, Lily of Augusta, GA, and Mark & Hope Marini of Jacksonville, FL; many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 14, 2008, at 2:00pm, from Providence Presbyterian Church, with Reverend John Hinkle officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00pm until 5:00pm.
