James “Jim” Richard Morris, age 73, of Dallas, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2011. He was born on October 23, 1937, in Dallas, GA, to the late Oran & Evelyn Morris. Mr. Morris was a veteran of the United States Navy and worked as a building contractor with JRM Properties.
Survivors include, wife, Joyce Morris of Dallas; sons and daughter-in-law, Jeff & Tracy Durham of Rockmart, and Johnny Blair of Douglasville; daughters and son-in-law, Lisa Barber of Dallas and Lori & Lance Rakestraw of Hiram; brothers and sister-in-law, Tom Morris of Dallas, and Larry & Janie Morris of AL; sisters, Marie Smallwood of Hiram, and Nancy Morris of Marietta; seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 14, 2011, at 2 p.m., from Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Pritchard officiating. Interment will follow in Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 13, 2011, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
