James Clyde "J.C." Nails Jr.

James Clyde "J.C." Nails Jr. passed away on June 19, 2024. He was born on February 1, 1946, to the late James Clyde Nails Sr. and Floy T. Nails in Clarkdale, Georgia. J.C. was ordained as a Deacon at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church on March 20, 1994 and later served as the Chairman of the Deacons. J.C. was a loving and devoted husband, daddy, granddaddy, and great granddaddy who will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James "Clyde" and Floy T. Nails; sister, Frances Maxwell.

J.C. is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Marcia Nails; their two children, Marlene (Brian) Carroll of Dallas, Georgia and Mark James Nails of Lockport, Illinois and; four grandchildren, Whitney (James) Reynolds of Dallas, Georgia, Haley (Derek) Young of Kingston, Georgia, Destiney (Ty DeLancey) Carroll of Dallas, Georgia, Daisy Marie Nails of Lockport, Illinois; four great-grandchildren, Mattie Elrod, Annalee Reynolds, Bailey Reynolds, Mason Young; his sister, Joyce Morris; and several extended family members.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Funeral Services for J.C. will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Sam Clark Chapel at 11:00 AM with Brother Brian Carroll and Brother Jeremy Crane officiating.

Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens with Pastor Kent Cole officiating and Neil Carroll, Eli Sorrells, Shane Graves, Jason Lanham, Keith Maxwell, Jeff Durham serving as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Derek Lawrence, Bryan Chandler, and Jimmy Crew.
