James Hoyt Nelson

James Hoyt Nelson, age 83, of Dallas, GA passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Tranquility Hospice following a brief illness. He was retired from Paulding County Senior Services Transportation Department and a Veteran of the United States Armed Services. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mary Eunice Nelson; sisters, Margie Williams and Frances Nelson; and step-daughter, Judy Rackley. James was kind, thoughtful, and a blessing to our family.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Imogene Nelson of Dallas, GA; brother and sister-in-law, David and Delores Nelson of Hiram, GA; step-children, Kathy (Larry) Watkins of Dallas, GA, Georgia (Wayne) Rakestraw of Adairsville, GA, and Terry Rackley of Dallas, GA; 3 granddaughters; 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home at 4:00pm with Rev. Justin Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Polk Memory Gardens in Rockmart, GA.
