James Parson

James Parson, a beloved father, mechanic, and music enthusiast, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. He was born on December 2, 1945, in Dallas, Georgia, to his late parents TJ and Alice Parson.

James, known to many as a man of few words but with a heart full of kindness, was cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. James' journey in life began at an early age when he worked alongside his father in a sawmill, honing his skills and embracing the importance of hard work. Later on, he ventured into the realm of mechanics, where his talent shone brightly.James possessed an innate mechanical aptitude that led him to become a skilled diesel mechanic. He dedicated numerous years of his life to the industry, working diligently for esteemed employers such as Superior Trucking, Yancy Brothers and retired from the Paulding County Bus Barn. James took great pride in his work, ensuring that every vehicle he serviced was running smoothly and efficiently.

James had a deep love for country music, particularly the melodies of Charlie Pride. Additionally, James had a passion for restoring and fixing trucks, with his cherished 1952 Ford being a testament to his mechanical prowess.

But perhaps what defined James the most was his infectious humor and zest for life. He possessed a unique ability to uplift the spirits of those around him with his jokes and lighthearted nature. His genuine enthusiasm for fun and laughter created cherished memories that will forever be treasured by his loved ones.

James leaves behind his loving daughters, Marjorie (Matthew) Johnson and Makaila Parson, his beloved son, Andrew Parson; six grandchildren, Hannah (Dustin) Hunt, Chipper Whitt, TJ Whitt, Drew (Joanna) Whitt, Kaelyn Whitt and Cataleya Santana; and two great-grandchildren, Kameron William and Devin Hunt, all of whom will continue to carry his legacy of love, perseverance, and laughter forward. Although James' physical presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Clark Funeral Home. A memorial service celebrating James' life will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 23, 2023 at Clark Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to join together to honor and pay tribute to his extraordinary life.
