Jimbo Williams, 61, passed away peacefully at his home, on Saturday, June 3, 2023. He was born on September 19, 1961, to the late James Williams II and Joann Black Green in Mableton, GA. Jimbo made his living as a truck driver and worked for several different companies before retiring. Even in retirement, he passed the time working odd jobs here and there in construction, and as a handyman. Jimbo enjoyed anything to do with Notre Dame, and enjoyed listening to Miranda Lambert. His favorite thing though, was his family, especially his grandchildren. Jimbo loved and was very proud of each. If there was an event going on, be it cheer, soccer, baseball, etc. he tried to be there to support and cheer them on. If his grandchildren weren't playing he would go down to the local ball fields and watch other teams play and cheer them on.
Jimbo is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Jackie Williams; sons, Beau (Melissa) Williams, Robert (Ashley) Williams; sister, Denise (Scott) Belcher; five grandchildren, Lyric Williams, Chloe Williams, Preston Williams, Cydni Williams, Kaleb Williams; father-in-law, Jerry (Paula) Spicer, mother-in-law, Bea (Chuck) Byers, a host of other nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and friends.
A memorial service for Jimbo will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Bethany Christian Church. The family will receive friends at 10:00am and his service will begin at 11:00am at the church.
