James C Sims, SR

J.C. Sims, SR, age 78, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018. He was born on April 16, 1939, in Benton, AR, to the late Winnie & Rucile Sims, and was preceded in death by his brothers, Charlie Sims and Eugene Sims, and sister, Darlene Warren. Mr. Sims retired after 20 years of service for the United States Navy and served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Evelyn Sims of Dallas, GA; son, James & Adriana Sims, JR of Dallas, GA; daughter, Linda Evelyn & Lee Wagner of Ellenwood, GA; brother, Ferris & Francine Sims of Benton, AR; grandchildren, Rick White, Amanda White and Anna Sims; great-grandchildren, Jammie Cox, Emmy White, Lilly White, Bella White and Bayleigh Schevers; four nieces and five nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 11 AM, from Clark Funeral Home with Rev. George Barnett and Dr. Wayne Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery at 1:30 PM on Thursday, February 8, 2018. James Sims, JR, David Sims, Lee Wagner, David Underhill and Dennis Underhill will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
