James Snow

James Arthur Snow passed away on July 15, 2024. He was born on June 22, 1943, to the late Alver and Ruby Snow of Rome, Georgia. James was a United States Army Veteran who loved serving his country. After being injured in the US Army and honorably discharged, he worked at Lockheed for 10 years before continuing to serve his country and community by beginning his law enforcement career with the City of Austell and Douglasville. He also worked at ADT security before retiring.

James loved fishing on his boat and collecting coins and guns outside of work. He was a wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather who cherished his time spent with his family. James was very loved and will be dearly missed.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Alver F. Snow and Ruby Tankersley Snow.

James is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Brenda Rakestraw Snow; their children, James (Tim) Snow of Washington, Terry Snow of Kennesaw, Georgia, Barbie (Rocky) Forrister of Douglasville, Georgia, Tina (Chris) Agan of Rockmart, Georgia, Lois (Jon) Homier of Dallas, Georgia; thirteen grandchildren, Sam Sniff, R.J. Forrister, Tiffany Agan, Jonathan Agan, Levi Crawford, Alyssa Watson, Jessica Snow, Max Snow, Jason Masemore, Josh Snow, Breanne Snow, Abagail Homier, Ella Homier; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Snow of Dallas, Georgia, Bryant Snow of Rome, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

A Private Memorial Service was held by the family in Mr. Snow's honor.
