James Kendrick 'Ken' Thompson

James Kendrick “Ken” Thompson of Dallas, GA, 76, passed away peacefully at Tranquility at Cobb, Sunday, June 9, 2019.  He was born on January 2, 1943 in Hogansville, GA to the late Robert and Lillie Mae Thompson.

Mr. Thompson was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved hunting deer and rabbits in his early in life, traveling with his wife Brenda, and had become an avid gardener, that took great pride in his vegetable garden.  He worked over 40 years in management for Winn Dixie, was a member of Northside Baptist Church and the Hogansville Lodge #93.

He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Thompson; sons, Chuck and Vycki Thompson of Carrollton, Ga, and Scott and Anita Thompson of Newnan, Ga; daughter, Teresa Nelson of Dallas, GA; brothers, Clifford and Delaine Thompson, and Johnny and Wanda Thompson; five grandchildren two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Mr. Thompson will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at 1:30 PM at Northside Baptist Church in Dallas, GA.
