James "Jim" Belt

James “Jim”  Belt, age 58, of Douglasville, GA. passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. Mr. Belt was born on July 29, 1962 to his parents; Dennis Belt and Janis Jones. Jim was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed sports and played many in his high school years. He is also a great fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Kentucky Wildcats. Jim helped build many of the buildings that are a part of the Atlanta Skyline and enjoyed talking about his experience of it to others.  His most cherished time was time spent with his grandkids. Jim is preceded in death by his brother; Greg Belt and stepfather; Dennis Jones.

Mr. Belt is survived by loving wife, Tammey Belt, daughter; Mikayla Belt, son; Christopher (Brittany) Belt, grandchildren; Kyleigh Taylor, R.J. Belt, and Kandace Belt, sister; Jana (Michael) Young, many nieces and nephews, along with aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services for Mr. Belt will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, March 13, 2021 with a visitation only from 1:00 until 4:00 PM, all friends and family are welcome.

If attending the visitation, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn, and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mr. Belt safe.  The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who may be unable to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions (no more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time).
