James (PIPA) Lee Tidwell

James (PIPA) Tidwell, age 84, of Buchanan, GA, passed way on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. He was born on May 6, 1933, in Dallas, GA, to the late Tommie Leon & Willie Mae Glass Tidwell, and was preceded in death by his son, James Wayne Tidwell. Mr. Tidwell pastored many churches in the area over the years, was a member of Mt. View Church of God, and worked as a truck driver for Stephens Lumber Company.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Betty Tidwell of Buchanan, GA; daughters, Donna Mikeal of Buchanan, GA, and Carol Jane Nix of Dallas, GA; brother, Forrest Leon Tidwell of Jasper, GA; sister, Melva D. Roper of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Kevin Thomas (Lisa) Pruitt, Sherry Faye Moon, Nathaniel Lee Tidwell, Brandi Carol (Shanon Hanson) Nix, Jesse Daniel Tidwell, and Jayme Jean Nix; great-grandchildren, Brittney Pruitt, Bo Pruitt, Steven Pruitt, Rebekah Lybarger, Racheal Lybarger, Anthony Tidwell, Steven Hanson, Dylan Hanson, and Brandi-Layne Nix; great-great-grandchildren, Lexxi & Zara Burris, Gema Schrader, Cason, Jace, and Bo Shelby Pruitt, and Parker Pruitt.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017, at 2 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Kenny Jacobs and Reverend Chuck Tillman officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. Shanon Hanson, Nathaniel Tidwell, Bo Pruitt, Kevin Pruitt, Jesse Tidwell and Steven Pruitt will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 14, 2017, from 4 PM until 8 PM.
